Why can't I respond to a sourcing event?
Why can't I respond to a sourcing event? Why is the Submit Response button missing in a sourcing event? Why am I unable to submit a bid in an auction?
There are several possible reasons you may be unable to enter responses to an event.
Use the following troubleshooting tips to help you submit your response:
- Is the event open for responses?
- The status of Open will appear in the upper right corner for an event that is available for responses along with the amount of time remaining.
- If the status is Pending Selection, Closed or Paused, please contact your buyer to ask to reopen the event/questionnaire for you.
- Have you accepted the event prerequisites?
- If you have not submitted event prerequisites or if the submitted prerequisites are still pending the buyer’s approval, you will be unable to move forward in the event. In addition, make sure you have cleared all access/participation gates set up in the event. To submit the prerequisites, go to the Review and Accept Prerequisites step in the checklist.
- Have you selected lots?
- In auctions and some types of events, you may need to submit lots in the Select Lots step prior to entering any responses. After selecting the lots, you will be able to respond to questions in the event.
- Are you viewing the Submit Response step of the checklist?
- If you are viewing event content on any step other than Submit Response in the checklist appearing on the left, you will be unable to view answer fields for the questions.
- Did the project owner provide an option to respond to the question?
- The project owner may choose not to provide an option to upload any information. This may apply just to some questions in the event or to the whole event. You can contact the project owner via event messages.
