Why did I receive a delegatee approval error :You cannot approve your own request as a delegatee for some types of approvables?

If you are the requester of the approvable document, and your company has chosen to prevent users from approving their own documents. The active approver on the approval flow delegated approval authority to you (the requester), and this error prevents you from taking approval action on the document.

To resolve this issue, you need to disable the Prevent Self-Approval Under Delegation option within each document type's approval process. When this check box is selected, users cannot approve their own requests during delegation for that specific approvable type.

Follow the below settings to prevent this issue:

1. Navigate to the Manage > Approval Processes section.
2. Locate the active approval process for the approvable type in question.
3. Access the approval process using the hyperlink, and click Edit.
4. Navigate to the Summary tab of the approval process.
5. Uncheck the Prevent Self-Approval Under Delegation option.
6. Click the Check In And Activate button to finalize the changes.

If you are unable to change this option by following these steps, you might need to request additional group permissions. Contact an internal administrator in order to request the appropriate permissions.
