Versioning of Strategy and Plan Documents for Updates to Custom Tools [ARBCATA-570]

This feature supports version control of strategy and plan documents when custom tools included in the document are updated in SAP Ariba Category Management. Versioning for custom tools is enabled by default, and category management administrators can configure whether changes to custom tools should trigger reapproval of the strategy and plan document. Any updates made by category managers to custom tools that are part of an approved strategy and plan document automatically result in the creation of a new version of the document. The new versions are recorded in the document history, ensuring consistent version tracking across strategy and plan tools and improved visibility into document updates.

Enhancements to Risk Management in the Risk Assessment Tool [ARBCATA-573]

This feature enhances risk management in the Risk Assessment tool of a strategy and plan document in SAP Ariba Category Management by helping organizations improve accountability, collaboration, and timely follow-up on risk mitigation activities. This enhancement introduces the following capabilities:

* Risk owners can create and assign tasks within the Risk Assessment tool, and assigned risk task owners can edit or delete task details.

* Collaborators of the strategy and plan document can manage risks and tasks assigned to them based on the permissions granted to them. The new Manage own risks permission allows collaborators to manage risks assigned to them, while the existing Manage own tasks permission allows them to manage tasks associated with assigned risks.

* Email and in-app notifications are triggered when the risk owner or risk task owner is changed in an active strategy and plan document.

Ability for Category Managers to Manage Category Profile Data [ARBCATA-583]

This feature allows category managers other than the lead category manager to manage category profile details through the Manage Category Profile app in SAP Ariba Category Management. Category managers can now add or create, edit, and delete category profile data, as well as associate category profile information from a category to its subcategories, when they are added as team members and assigned the required permissions to edit data within the respective category profile tool.

Inclusion of Category Profile Data in Strategy and Plan Documents [ARBCATA-589]

This feature adds relevant data from the Category Profile tools to the strategy and plan document in SAP Ariba Category Management. The document now includes information such as laws and regulations, company policies, and spend channels from the category profile.

Ability to Associate Multiple Guided Sourcing Projects with Initiatives and Initiative Tasks [ARBCATA-591]

This feature enhances how guided sourcing projects are managed within initiatives in SAP Ariba Category Management. You can now create or add multiple guided sourcing projects to an initiative. You can also associate these projects with initiative tasks, making it easier to organize and track sourcing activities as part of initiative execution.

NOTE: This functionality is applicable only when SAP Ariba Category Management is integrated with SAP Ariba Sourcing with guided sourcing capability.

Enhancements to the Category Suppliers Tool [ARBCATA-600]

This feature introduces updates to the Category Suppliers page in SAP Ariba Category Management, enhancing how information is organized and displayed. Selecting category suppliers from the list now leads to a new page, rather than opening in a popup dialog on the Category Suppliers page. These updates help users locate and review relevant information more efficiently, reduce navigation steps, and support better management of category suppliers.

UI Updates Across SAP Ariba Category Management Apps [ARBCATA-607]

This feature introduces updates to UI labels across various SAP Ariba Category Management apps to improve consistency and usability. The changes include the following:

* Phase is now Status in strategy and plan documents, initiatives, goals, approval documents, workbench pages, and initiative overview pages.

* Status is now Health Status in initiatives and goals where applicable.

* Draft is now In Preparation in strategy and plan document filters and the strategy execution page.

* The default views of the Develop Strategy and Plan and Monitor Strategy Execution pages have been updated to provide a more streamlined experience. With this update, fewer columns and filters are displayed by default, and the colors for the Active and Pending Approval statuses have been updated for better visual distinction.

Apply Category Profile Information Across Subcategories [ARBCATA-610]

This feature enables you to associate and apply category profile information such as laws and regulations, company policies, and spend channels from a category to its subcategories in SAP Ariba Category Management. This association is supported in the Laws and Regulations, Company Policies, and Spend Channels tools of the category profile.

Changes to Subcategory Segmentation in the Category Segmentation Tool [ARBCATA-628]

This feature introduces updates to the Category Segmentation tool in SAP Ariba Category Management to simplify how segmentation data is presented. The Category Segmentation page now displays only category-level segmentation and no longer displays subcategory-level segmentation. The Kraljic matrix chart and table on the Category Segmentation page, as well as the strategy and plan PDF export, reflect category-level segmentation to align with how category segmentation is managed and to improve clarity and consistency.

Support for Integration with External Spend Data APIs [ARBCATA-642]

SAP Ariba Category Management now supports integration with an external spend data source, allowing customers to connect their own spend data API and display spend information within the application. After the integration is configured, the application can retrieve spend data for supported visualizations such as category-level, subcategory-level, and supplier-level spend views, as well as classification-based data. To enable this integration, customers must configure a destination in SAP BTP, define the endpoint paths used by the application, and expose the required API endpoints that return data in the expected format. This enhancement allows you to use their existing spend data source, reduce manual effort involved in duplicating spend data, and support spend visibility using customer-managed data.

View Supplier Preferred Status in the Category Suppliers Tool [CATMAN-365]

This feature uses the Supplier Data API with Pagination to retrieve supplier information from SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance and displays the preferred status of suppliers directly in the Category Suppliers tool in SAP Ariba Category Management. This helps reduce the need to switch between solutions, provides visibility into the latest supplier status, and supports more informed decision making when managing category suppliers.

Allow Unformatted Phone Numbers in Personal Addresses [GUIDEB-1261]

Guided buying now supports unformatted telephone numbers in personal addresses, so SAP Business Network can include them in purchase order ship-to fields. Previously, it always performed country-specific formatting, which prevented SAP Business Network from using numbers for some countries.

Improved Purchase Requisition Interface in Guided Buying in the 2NV Integration Scenario with SAP S/4HANA [GUIDEB-1331]

This feature improves the purchasing requisition interface in guided buying in the 2NV integration scenario with SAP S/4HANA by aligning the requisition interface in guided buying with the requisition interface in SAP S/4HANA. The improvements include removal of redundant fields, removal of unsupported attributes, and changes to field labels to match guided buying behavior. These changes help to reduce integration failures and purchase requisition processing issues, and provide the user with a more consistent requisition experience.

Integrate SAP Business Network Catalog into SAP Ariba Buying [GUIDEB-1337]

With this feature, guided buying users can access items from supplier catalogs on the SAP Business Network. This functionality allows guided buying users to discover new products and suppliers from the SAP Business Network, which increases the availability of supplier offerings, thus improving the buyer's choice by offering more options. By supporting the adoption of the SAP Business Network catalog, SAP is adopting a new standard method for public product discovery across all procurement platforms.

Create Non-Catalog Requests with an Uploaded PDF [GUIDEB-1340]

This feature allows users to create a non-catalog request for items or services by uploading a PDF and extracting the data to create the request. This functionality helps to reduce data entry time by extracting the request details from a PDF, instead of manually entering them. If a supplier sends an offer or a proposal, users can now quickly extract the data from the PDF to create the request.

You can enable this by selecting the new on-screen checkbox Long Text that's available when running either the ARBCIG_BUYER_CATALOG_REPORT or ARBCIG_BUYER_CATALOG_EXPORT.
