[Demo included] Support for team RFQs
Feature ID

GB-9376

Feature Description

Team buying has been expanded to now include the request for quotes (RFQ) process. Guided buying teams can now collaborate to create RFQs and send them to suppliers.

Customer Problem

The RFQ in our current solution can be only be created and retrieved by the requester. This prevents multi-user teams from collaborating naturally and directly on the RFQ document in the guided buying user experience.

Customer Value Proposition

Expanding team access to RFQ allows for multiple end users with different skill sets or responsibilities to collaborate on RFQ documents in guided buying.

Applicable Solutions

Prerequisites

To enable team RFQs, you must set the following guided buying parameters to true:

This feature works in conjunction with the existing guided buying parameter PARAM_DISABLE_USER_TEAM_MANAGEMENT. By default, users can create teams. However, you can set this parameter to true to disable team-creation controls for users; then they can only use teams created by administrators.

For more information about guided buying parameters, see How to update guided buying parameters.

Restrictions

Unlike team buying and receiving, users can't change the team after they create an RFQ. To change the team, they must delete the RFQ and create a new one.
