Feature Description

In the Guided Buying Capability with SAP Ariba Buying (2NV) integration scenario and the Guided Buying for Central Procurement with SAP Ariba Buying (‏3EN‏) integration scenario, the material ID is now included as a standard field for catalog items in guided buying requests that are sent to SAP S/4HANA or SAP S/4HANA Cloud. The addition of the material ID enables buyers to map the catalog items in a request to the material master in the ERP system.

Customer Problem

In the SAP S/4HANA integration scenario, a customer is not able to view a material number for a catalog item in guided buying and also transfer the same information to SAP S/4HANA.

Customer Value Proposition

Transfer of a material number for a Catalog item in a PR allows customers to map the material in the requisition to a material master.

Buyers must add the material IDs to the catalog either manually, or by using the SAP Ariba catalog syndication process.

Restrictions

Material IDs are not supported for limit items.

Material IDs are not supported for service items in the Guided Buying for Central Procurement with SAP Ariba Buying (‏3EN‏) integration scenario.
