Read-Only Terms in Line Items
With this feature, customers can make terms of line items in sourcing and contracts as read-only.

Note: This feature was communicated as part of the March 2018 release, but was not made available until the November 2018 release.  For additional details on this feature please see the March 2018 SAP Ariba Applications Release Guide

Report exports without the need for ActiveX controls
SAP Ariba Contracts used a legacy technology - ActiveX control to export reports and contract Authoring. ActiveX dependency for contract authoring was removed in Q2, 2017 release. With this release, ActiveX dependency for reports exports will be removed as well.

Supplier engagement risk information in contracts
This feature allows users to associate engagement risk projects from supplier risk module to contract workspaces. At the point of contract creation, users will be able to select the engagement request that needs to be associated with the contract workspace thus linking the two objects. This will also allow users to link existing contract workspaces to new engagement risk request. Contract workspace will feature the request status and risk scores of the engagement risk projects that they are linked with.

Display section navigation trail in the outline and comparison view of an assembled document
This feature introduces a tool-tip that displays the section hierarchy of a clause upon mouse-over in the outline and comparison view of a document. Section hierarchy details are also available at the section-name level through a breadcrumb that displays the full section path. These enhancements are available in both the outline view and the view changes page for comparing document versions.

Display clause title and path for library clauses in the outline view of a document
This feature allows users to view the title and library folder path for library clauses in the outline view of the contract document.

Creation of items using plants/sites
This feature allows one to get pricing on multiple plants/sites for the same material/article without having the material/article stored in the item master.

Inclusion of additional header fields as columns in search results
This feature lists additional header fields including custom fields in the Show/Hide Columns section of the search results table properties menu. This makes it possible to select the required header fields for display as columns in the search results.

Propagate changes in currency rate sets to CLID
Upon updates to currency rate or addition of new currency rate set, administrators or contract users will have the option to refresh the same data automatically in contract line item documents (CLID).

Ability to change the Combined Spend setting before the start of the contract workspace approval task
This feature allows customers, who have enabled the Combined Spend functionality on contract workspaces, to change the selection for the Combined Spend field on contract before the start of an approval task. This is useful when a procurement contract workspace that was initially not created as a combined spend contract to be converted to the combined spend type to enable spend data aggregation for it. With this feature enabled, users authorized to edit contract workspaces will see the Combined Spend field when they open a contract workspace for editing.

Support for line item types and line item definitions in service line items
This feature allows users to indicate the service line item types such as Standard, Blanket, Contingent, Information and Open Quantity as well as create line item definitions for all three levels of services hierarchy (service line, service outline and service specifications).

Ability to clone adhoc tasks while copying a sourcing project or a contract workspace
This feature allows users to replicate tasks in to a new sourcing project or contract workspace while copying an existing contract workspace or project respectively.

Non-disclosure agreement contracts
This feature allows SAP Ariba Contracts users to create, store, manage, and share Non-Disclosure Agreements with counterparties.

Expanded reporting capabilities on item attributes in sourcing and contracts
With this feature, sourcing and contracts users can run reports on self-configured item terms as well as terms that are integrated in to sourcing or contracts from the materials master.

Lot Support for Contracts
Now administrators can add a lot definition within a procurement contract workspace project template, and users who create a contract workspace based on that template can add a lot to a contract line items document (CLID) within the contract workspace. The lot can be created in the contract workspace without having to first create it in a sourcing event.

Update Material Master items in CLID from sourcing award
With this solution users should be able to update line items into a CLID from a Sourcing Award.

Append or update line items in contracts from a sourcing award without manual amendment of the contract workspace
This feature will ensure that line items from a sourcing award can be updated or amended in to a contract without manually changing the status of the workspace.

With this solution, all contracts -  draft, draft amendment and published contracts will be listed from the sourcing award. When a user selects a published contract, application will create Price Update Amendments automatically, update the contract line items document by adding or updating line items, then close the amendment.

Control the deletion of line items from a Contracts Line Item Document (CLID)
This feature provides users the option to disable line items in the CLID thus preventing further edits while retaining the line item on the User Interface(UI) for future reference.

Validation of Master Data
At the point of amending and publishing a contract, this feature checks and informs users for changes that might have occurred in the associated back-end master data since the contract was last published.

Mass edit of the Release Creator and Release Approver fields
This feature enhances the project mass edit functionality by adding support for the Release Creator and Release Approver fields in contract workspaces. Mass edit changes to these two fields are synced to the Release Approver and Release Access Users fields in the integrated compliance contracts. These enhancements allow customers to make changes to the users with release access and release approval privileges without having to amend the contract workspace.

Include the contracts ID from operational procurement system in the CLID Excel and webservice exports.
This feature enables the Contracts Line Item Excel and webservice exports to  include contract IDs from the operational procurement system.

Use Contracts Currency in Savings Tracker
Use the currency field in Contracts in the savings tracker instead of the default realm currency.

Display risk scores of suppliers to contract owners
This feature shows contracts users an in-application snapshot view of the real-time risk scores of suppliers.

Warning note to users during the upload of documents to the cloud
This feature allows users to control the storage of confidential documents on the cloud by displaying a warning indicating that the uploaded contracts or newly created documents will be stored on the cloud.

Update Material Master Items in CLID from Sourcing Award
With this feature in addition to appending lines to a Contract Line Item Document (CLID) in a contract workspace from a sourcing award, the lines with the same material number can now be updated.

Price by time for sourcing events and contract CLIDs
This feature extends the capabilities in Simple RFx that allows for collecting price by time for Sourcing events and Contract Line Item Documents (CLID).  Buyers will be able to request pricing from the supplier for a # of periods, chose the periods (Month/Qtr/Year) and when to start the periods.
