SAP PI AN Adapter throws below error in AN adapter debug logs:
Error: No adapter registered for channel / Channel has internal error
1. This is a known issue in higher versions (PI 7.3 and above) of SAP PI Ariba Network Adapter.
Below are the workarounds suggested:
- Restart the AN adapter using KBA How do I restart AN Adapter used in SAP PI?
- If issue persists even after AN Adapter Restart, please check if you have maintained a scenario specific Receiver Determination for this interface and correct it accordingly using below steps:
i. Go to SAP PI Integration Builder.
ii. Select the relevant Integrated Configuration Scenario for this interface.
iii. Click Advanced Settings > Use scenario-specific configuration > Receiver Determination (step MS) > Ensure the value maintained here is None or Store. Do not maintain Store on error.
2. If you are on lower versions of SAP PI (PI 7.2 or below) and facing this issue, refer to the below SAP Notes:
1487066 - No adapter registered for channel.
1347828 - Channel Monitoring shows "Channel has internal error".
1579878 - No adapter registered for this channel - PI/XI.
3. If issue persists even after following above, please create an SAP OSS Incident under standard SAP PI BC-XI-CON-AFW component providing error details to engage SAP PI product support team. Steps on how to create SAP OSS Incident are detailed in FAQ How do I create an SAP OSS incident?
The cause of the issue is either an incorrect Integrated Configuration Scenario configuration for this scenario or a standard SAP PI product issue depending on the version of SAP PI version being used as explained in the resolution section.
