SINV-4517: Child line items associated with service items on orders in SAP Business Network appeared as material line items

Symptom

Previously, the child line items associated with a service item on an order appeared as material line items when suppliers viewed the order on SAP Business Network. This issue occurred when the service start and end dates were not specified for the service item.


Resolution

This issue has been fixed. A new parameter named Application.Procure.DefaultAllChildLinesAsServiceItems has been created. If enabled, all items irrespective of their item categories (material or service) when added as child items are mapped as service items on requisitions, orders, and invoices even if the service start and end dates are not specified for the associated parent line items.

Action Required
To ensure that all child items of a service item appear as service items on orders and invoices on SAP Business Network, please have your Designated Support Contact log a Case. An SAP Support representative will follow up to complete the request.

SAP Support must enable the Application.Procure.DefaultAllChildLinesAsServiceItems parameter to ensure that items of type material when added as child items under service items must also appear as service items nested under the parent lines on orders and invoices on SAP Business Network.
