Requirements for passwords have now been strengthened. When passwords expire (or users reset their passwords before expiration), the SAP Ariba cloud solution now requires that passwords meet the following minimum conditions:

• at least 12 characters long (maximum size: 32 characters)
• must include at least one lowercase, one uppercase, and one special Latin based characters (such as !, &, %, etc.)
• must include at least one digit between the first and last characters

Example of a good password: adF3#tr1Ck!me

Not allowed: mycatanddogandme2 (digit at the end only, no uppercase character, no special character)

This change does not impact organizations using corporate authentication.

Required action:

Please review the password documentation for our organization. All existing users will still be able to log into their SAP Ariba solution with their existing password. The new password requirements only apply when the current password expires or users reset their password.
