You can edit a template only when it is in Draft state. Follow these steps to create and edit a new version of a template:
In case you are trying to make changes in SM templates(Request, Registration, Qualification, Modular Questionnaire) follow the below step after step 6:
If you get a Pre-Publish template Validation warning page while publishing the template it is because you have made some changes in the current version. To fix the warning follow the below steps.
Change the Template will affect my realm Projects/Requests already created with previous version of the Template?
The answer will depend on which type of object is the template from (Sourcing Request/Project, Supplier workspaces, etc). You can find the answer on this Help Portal page, to know if the changes on the template will be replicate to your existing Sourcing objects.
